Shelter Host

 

Bayside Housing & Services is seeking a Shelter Host, offering an hourly pay range of $19.00 to $22.00 (Nonexempt). This full-time role is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our community by providing essential oversight and support within our shelter. The Shelter Host will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of unhoused adults in need of transitional shelter by adhering to agency rules and regulations, assisting with meals, guest interactions, setup, and cleanup, and maintaining the cleanliness of the shelter. Reporting to the Shelter Program Manager, the ideal candidate will have experience in shelter environments, substance abuse, mental health disorders, or working with individuals in crisis. A commitment to compassionate care and strong communication skills are essential. This position is integral to our mission of strengthening community through housing advocacy and human services. Site Maintenance Technician

 

Bayside Housing & Services is seeking a Site Maintenance Technician, offering an hourly pay range of $20.72 to $27.50 (Nonexempt). This full-time position is a critical role responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and safety of Bayside properties, ensuring a well-maintained environment for all residents. The Site Maintenance Technician will conduct routine preventive maintenance, handle emergency repairs, and assist with construction and renovation projects. Duties include electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks, as well as landscaping and janitorial responsibilities. This role requires on-call availability for emergencies during evenings and weekends. The ideal candidate has at least four years of experience in building maintenance, with skills in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing work, and demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills. A commitment to supporting Bayside’s mission of providing stable and safe housing is essential.
