In July 2024, Indeed.com listed 397 restaurant worker positions near Port Townsend.
Many food service businesses are struggling and unable to realize their potential because they can’t acquire adequate staffing. Meanswhile, the Bureau of Labor and Statistics latest results show 659 unemployed workers in Jefferson County. There are so many people who will work if they feel confident enough to apply. Together, we can create a system that will inspire confidence in potential workers that will encourage them to become the solution for this staffing shortfall.
A program of foundational skills and industry expectations will do just that. It will change lives and allow food-based businesses to achieve their goals.
