We are pleased to announce the date for our annual Bayside Housing & Services Gala: From the Ground Up. This year we have a wonderful speaker, Dunia Faulx of Jefferson Healthcare. We also have an additional option to purchase VIP tickets that include a reception with Dr. Michael Adams, son of Ansel Adams.

Dunia Faulx

Dunia Faulx is a committed and passionate public health professional with an interest in social justice and health equity. With nine years of experience in global and domestic health research and program implementation. She has technical expertise in quantitative and qualitative research. Specialties include infectious disease diagnostics and the social determinants of health.
Also a strong leader who is able to develop and implement project and program strategies by utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with multidisciplinary groups.

Kip Toner

Kip Toner is recognized as one of the leading auctioneers in the nation for benefit auctions. His firm conducts benefit auctions from Washington DC to Hawaii for schools, churches, hospitals, civic groups, arts organizations, and other charities.

Kip is the chairman and chief executive officer of Kip Toner Benefit Auctions (KTBA) located in Seattle, Washington. While Kip has been associated with auctions for more than thirty years, he also maintains an active community involvement.

He is past chair of the Seattle University Board of Regents, treasurer of the Seattle Architectural Foundation Board of Directors, a member of the Board of Directors for PONCHO (one of the largest fundraising auctions in the world), and many other civic and charitable organizations. Kip is a member – with lifetime status – of the National Auctioneers Association (NAA) and has over the last several years made the major presentation on fundraising auctions at the NAA national convention attended by more than 1,000 of the nation’s top auctioneers.

Kip is regarded as an expert on the subject of benefit auctions and is in demand as a speaker at major meetings and seminars on benefit auctions. In addition to being the auctioneer at nearly 100 benefit auctions per year, Kip also teaches benefit auctioneering classes and conducts seminars for benefit auction chairpersons and committee members. Kip is also active in a number of NAA committees including the NAA Fun Auction held annually at the NAA Conference and Show.  Kip served as President of the Board of the National Auctioneers Foundation from 2008-2009.

Dr. Michael Adams has donated a framed Ansel Adams (Modern Replica) image of Mt. McKinley, Wonder Lake, Alaska. The value is around $900. This will be our only auction item. Thank you, Dr. Adams, for your continued generosity!
